Curiosity-driven science communication from a PhD researcher in Wellington. NCEA resources, complexity science, and the wonder of the natural world — told through a distinctly New Zealand lens.
Kia ora! I'm a PhD candidate at Te Herenga Waka — Victoria University of Wellington, affiliated with Te Pūnaha Matatini (NZ's Centre of Research Excellence for complex systems). My research uses mathematical modelling to understand te reo Māori revitalisation.
Science Kiwi started as a passion project to make science genuinely accessible to New Zealanders — not dumbed down, just clearly explained, with local context and a healthy dose of wonder.
I also create NCEA study resources for Year 11–13 students, because Kiwi kids deserve great science and maths support that actually speaks their language.
